2008 First place winner
Just when you thought you have seen it all in
Christmas light decorating Ridge Harbor Christmas has raised the bar
for decorating enthusiasts across the country. This year’s display
features approximately 300,000 lights (an increase of 50,000 over
last year.
The feature element of the 2008 display is the new MONSTER MEGA
TREE! The MMT is the first and largest tree of its kind in the
country. With 19,600 lights and controlled by 104 computer channels,
this tree executes a pattern unequaled by other so called “Mega
Trees”. The MMT was designed, engineered and programmed by property
owner Robin Stublen.
New items include Alvin and the Chipmunks performing their famous
Christmas Song. Santa will make his annual visits on December 13th
and 20th from 7pm to 9pm. Boys and girls should be accompanied by an
adult so parents bring your cameras to take their free pictures.
Free popcorn and candy canes will be given out on
those evenings.
As a special bonus on Sat. December 20th, the
first 50 children who visit Santa will receive a free CD from Judy
Pancoast, author and performer of the song, "House On Christmas
Street."
Be
sure to tune your radio to 106.1 FM and listen to the music while
watching thousands of lights dance to the beat of the music.
Ridge Harbor Christmas broadcast nightly on a low-power FM
transmitter when the lights are on.
Note: in the event of rain, the display will be
turned off for safety reasons. We apologize for any inconvenience.
